McCarthy! part 2

Our first couple days there were rainy/cloudy. Andy was working on building some new stairs for the cabin, so the kids biked and I walked with Jon.

Then we had a little party in the minivan fort, where Jon was napped.

Then we took off on a real adventure to get some ice cream.

Although it was late afternoon, the ice cream shop/grocery store said we were there first customers for ice cream that day.

Which made sense, because the ice cream made us so cold we had to go to 'The Potato' for some hot chocolate.  A health food day.

We stopped at our favorite location to throw  rocks and wait for dad to meet us.

Andy and Van, driving us back up the hill.

The trailer is bumpy, but it didn't bother Esther.

The new stairs, looking pretty nice.

Esther is a little muddy.

When we weren't outside, we either played cards or Jenga. Or made towers with the Jenga blocks.

The evening started to clear up and Andy's friend Brian brought us some marshmallows for roasting.

Andy and I took turns taking pictures of the beautiful sunset as the clouds started to clear.
