Wildlife

A pack of wild boys often plays in our yard. Esther and I know not to get too close.

It almost always looks like they're trying to kill each other. But surprisingly they do stop if someone gets upset.
No ER visits.
Yet.

The entertainment keeps Esther mesmerized for hours.

A walk with Esther

Esther and I walked through the woods and around the neighborhood.

We peeked in the windows at Grandmas house, but she was not home.

We found a bike in Svea's yard and rode it home.

Turnagain Arm hike

I think I called this Johnson trail hike in the last post about it, same one. The kids went way farther this time and ran much of the way. Overall we clocked in ~4.5 miles with 14 kids, the size of the group helps motivates everyone.

 Stopping for a popcorn break.

 The turnaround point

Anna got a scrape on her knee and wanted a picture of it.

Van

I told him he could take a couple silly ones

Running back with Cam and Elise

Cam and Van, these guys should be on the same soccer team this summer. It will be fun.

Van and I got separated from the pack here and took a couple detour trails

We found this survey point

Me: "We should go back now, so we can stay with everyone"
Van: "It's ok, I don't have to be scared because I have you and you don't have to be scared because you have me."
Me: "True. We are a great team."

Back to the parking lot, eating cookies Rachel made.

Sleepy shopper

This is what shopping at 10AM looks like when you woke up at 6:17AM.
