Laughing

This is how you make baby Jon laugh

But then of course Esther needed to try it

And then Van

This makes no sense

I got a text today from a number I didn't recognize. It had a Georgia area code. It was just 9 versions of the same photo of two guys wearing sunglasses, standing in front of a doorway with some balloons, holding up their muscles. It looked like maybe they just ran a race or something. I thought it was a funny mistake so I texted this  back.

I sort of assumed this would be funny and they would realize they sent the pictures to the wrong person.
Instead the following happened

Person from Georgia: "Lol, why did you send me this? Are these your siblings?"
Me: "Well I got your pictures and just felt like I should reciprocate. Flattering, but they are my kids."
Person from Georgia: "Lol, Where'd you all disappear to?"

I was confused by this last text and decided not to answer. A few hours later,

Person from Georgia: "Let me know when you guys are ready."
Me: "I guess this didn't come through the first time, but you have the wrong number."

I feel kind of bad. Who was he/she looking for? Have they been waiting for their friends (or not friends) the whole time? How do they not know what their friends look like? I wonder if they think their friend has kids now?

But bottom line, Van, Esther and I look like siblings.

Skiing Wonders

I'm pretty sure Svea has skied more with these kids than I got to this spring. Last weekend they skied 12 miles from Service to Westchester Lagoon!

Daytime fun

Pictures from Grandma while I was at work

Bookshelf Climber

While Van and I were reading bedtime stories, Esther roped herself into the bookshelf and did some climbing.

Smiles

Here are some happy kids.

Photographer

Oftentimes at the end of the day I find extra pictures on my phone that I didn't take. Here is a series Esther did of baby Jon. ( I narrowed it down from 500 of course)

April Fool's Day

Van's new favorite day is April Fool's Day.

He spent all morning 'fooling' everyone. He got Andy pretty good. This is a holiday just made for 7 year old boys.

Painting at Rabbit Creek Elementary

Svea somehow got the job of painting the gym wall at the elementary school. This wall will be the backdrop for the new rock climbing wall they plan to install. Here are pictures she has sent me so far.

She is painting the outlines, then she has kids fill in the fish with paint.

Jon's Lipsense advertisement

Some of my friends are selling Lipsense, a lipstick that won't come off on anything.
Obviously I don't have any yet.
I'm waiting for my order to come in so I decided to make a little advertisement with Jon. I wrote

"Don't worry Jon, mama's lipsense will come in soon."

He was a good model.

The Learning Farm

We went to the Learning Farm on Friday

We saw some sheep
 A big pig

We collected eggs from the chickens, then weighed them.

This was the best part, this little calf was only 5 days old! Well, it was sad too. The poor baby away from its mama so young. But it was neat to see. It looked so clean and fresh. It had only been at the farm a couple hours.
