Bouldering

In a bold move, I took three kids to the rock gym on a busy Wednesday night. They did pretty good, but as soon as they started to get silly/tired I hurried them out of there. We lasted about an hour.

Van did awesome on this blue route.

This is the best. Esther would walk around the gym with her hands on her hips looking for "V0". Then when she found a V0 route she would get excited and climb it.
She does awesome when she's focused.
 Go Finn go!

The best, a picture with all three.

Glen Alps Sledding

Today we met the usual crew up at Glen Alps for some sledding. Posey's, Elliots, Smiths, Lunoes and some Millers.

Jon and I bringing up the end.

Esther looks red, but happy at the top of the hill.

Here is a video of Esther and Andy sledding:

Van the man

I didn't get a video of Van, but I heard that he did a barrel roll on the intertube, and managed to hang on, landing on top again and finishing the run. He said it was the best trick ever.

A view of the sledding bowl from a distance. I walked down early when Jon fussed a little. It was so snowy and windy, there was no way to help him up there, so I took him back to the car.

But of course as soon as I started walking he fell back asleep, so I took some pictures. Jon's chariot.

All tucked in.

Take the top layer off

I got him in the car and he napped and ate and napped.

Three babies

Van wanted to take these pictures and they turned out so cute. I can't believe what great little people I have. I love all three so much.

Outtakes

Siblings Sliding

A lot of the time they fight. But sometimes they are oh so adorable.

"Mom, we keep inventing new ways to slide and it's so fun!"

Van's new drill

Van got a drill from grandpa, and drillbits from the Lunoes. Grandpa came over to give him a lesson.

Christmas

The scene after santa arrived. One fun thing about procrastination is that our tree went from having 1 present to this on Christmas morning.

Van came down first and opened his stocking then brought Esther down and helped her.

Then they got into the meat of it. All the pictures are blurry of course. The blur represents the excitement.

Showcasing some favorite presents. A pillow
 a skirt/shirt
 a dollhouse

 a lego set
a tunic and a head wrap

And Esther and I took baby Jon on a walk so I could try out my new coat :)

We didn't have any activities planned this day. Van asked if they could just play with toys all day and we agreed that sounded nice. He built this whole fire station lego set. He worked the whole day and then Andy made us a lovely dinner from what we had around, it was delicious.
