Ice Skating at Jim Mills Creek

With essentially no snow this winter, we need to get creative to get the kids outside.

Today we drove a couple hours out of town for ice skating at Jim Mills creek. None of us had been there before. It was beautiful and we found some cool trails.

I just took Van and Jon, Andy and Esther stayed home for this one.

Jon being cute

Then here's Jon. He's not sleeping very well lately, but he sure is cute.

Esther climbing

Svea took Van and her kids skiing at Hatchers Pass today. We stayed closer to town. I took Esther to the climbing gym for the first time.

"I'm so excited!" she says.

And she was off, looking for V0 climbing routes.

She was amazing! I was really impressed with her climbing ability and focus.

She did so well, I decided to rent a harness for her so she could climb the big walls.

Then one last boulder, before we had to leave.

Thanksgiving

Svea hosted a big Thanksgiving at her house. First we went to Potters Marsh for some ice skating.

Esther was doing awesome,

Until she got tired.

Then she got Thomas to push her on the kicksled.

Van was a hockey champ

Meanwhile, the table was set at Svea's house.

And after the skating was done, we all sat down for a delicious meal
