Pumpkins

Ok here are our pumpkins this year, Megalodon and Steelers/T-rex. The T-Rex is on the back of the Steelers and I guess I never got a picture of it. I wouldn't recommend carving both sides of a pumpkin. Doesn't work out well.
Carving by Vanessa.
Artistic direction by Van.

Snowflakes

Van and I did a few art projects while at home. Here are the snowflakes we created and decorated with.

UPDATED: More snowflakes.

Esther Face

Sweet pumpkin muffin. She is so good at posing for pictures right now.

She's playing horsie on my leg.

Sleep

We have been doing some great sleeping during this flu. Esther will go to bed between 7-8 and Van and I between 8-9 and everyone wakes up between 8 and 9 AM.

Van likes to fall asleep with his light on, so here are some cute pictures of his sweet sleepy face.

I was reading Van a story last night and then I looked up.

Me: "Van did you draw on your wall?"
Van: "Oh yeah, Sorryou mama. I was trying to write my name. I kinda messed it up. Can you see a couple Vs?"
Me: "Yeah I can"

The little booger.

And here is Esther. She has been sleeping great as well and not writing on the walls (not that she wouldn't, given the chance though). She sleeps in the dark so I don't have any pictures of her napping.

Matching vest

Mom and I have matching vests. I let Esther borrow mine.

Working from home

Since I'm highly contagious, I'm supposed to stay home for a week.

I had a conference call this morning so I set Van up with a movie and set Esther up with a smoothie.
Then 5 minutes into the call I look over and see this.

Apparently I didn't give her enough, so she climbed out of her chair to get her brother's smoothie.

Flu

I have the flu.
It's the worst flu I can remember having.
Today Esther is showing signs of being miserable, making me think she has it now too. Even if she doesn't, she looks how I feel.

Van's mind

Sometimes Van takes my phone and when I get it back it is full of pictures.

I love it because it is another way to see how he views the world. I like looking at what he decided to take pictures of and imagining what he was thinking.

And then of course the selfies are amazing. Just check out the second to last picture.

This picture seems random, but he's starting an art tour of the house. There are more below. Here a halibut Svea painted.

And here's one of Van's paintings.

Here's our skylight.

More art.

Me, being a bump on a log.

Andy's art pieces from Bali

I love this.
Here is the coat rack.

And here specifically are the coats on the floor. Why? Who knows.

Then he stopped by to visit me.

And upstairs, this is a pillow in the 'toy bedroom'

View of our driveway from the toy bedroom.

My car.

Dad's car.

Van's lego ship.

OMG.
There are no words. This is the best.
I'm pretty sure he's just trying to get a picture of that cut on his armpit. But that face. Too much.

Love it.
Thanks for the photo essay Van.
