Van was really excited about the flight home.
"I love airports" he said.
I was not as excited, we had one flight Denver to Seattle, ~3 hours, then a 3.5 hour layover and then our last flight was Seattle to Anchorage, 3.5 hours.
Saige and Matt drove us to the airport and parked. Stood in line with us, got our bags figured out, they were life savers. But eventually we had to say goodbye and head through security.
Here we are walking around the Denver airport.
Van on the shuttle in the airport.
Resting at our gate.
Getting new labels put on.
And finally loaded onto the first flight. Here is Esther sleeping and Van playing on the IPad. Almost too easy...
It was too easy. She woke up after about an hour super cranky and I had to move and sit next to her. Van was bummed because he didn't like being the one to sit with someone he didn't know.
Then we had our 3.5 hour layover in Seattle. Luckily they had this place, a great way for the kids to play without leaving the airport.
But during the layover things turned, Esther began having the worst tantrums and I started getting very nervous for the next flight. I panicked and bought a whole bunch of toys in a gift shop.
It was unnecessary though. The next flight had us all three in a row and screens on the backs of the seats in front of us with movies, games and TV. All Free. It was amazing. I didn't hear a peep from Van for the whole flight (except when he was laughing at sponge bob). Esther was a little more work, but the screen distracted her some too.
We made it anyway.
