Andy's Birthday Weekend

We went to Girdwood for Andy's birthday weekend and stayed at the Alyeska Prince Hotel for 2 nights.
After the first night, Mom, Dad, Svea and her family all came down to Girdwood bringing a cake and some Steeler spirit :).
When they left, the kids went home with them and Andy and I had a date night all to ourselves. We went to the Double Musky which has influenced our cooking all week.

While packing for the trip I dropped my phone in the yard and it was rained on the whole time we were gone so I don't have many pictures. But we have a few from Andy's phone.

Visiting the skate park the first night, this is after eating Andy's favorite wings at Chair 5.

No pictures of everyone's other favorite activity the Alyeska hottub and pool.

Here are the Steeler supporters getting ready to go.

A rainy hike. We went out towards the hand tram on the Winner Creek trail, but it was so muddy we came back on the nordic trails.

A much nicer hike the next day. We hiked up Alyeska; there is a free Tram ride down from the top. The hike is 2.2 miles and 2,000 vertical feet. But we couldn't feel accomplished because the day before there was a race where you climb the mountain as many times as possible in 10 hours (with tram ride down). The record is 12!

It was a great weekend, happy birthday hun!
