Their daughter Anna was a pro at gingerbread house decorating, but Van was mostly interested in how much candy he could eat.
Even today, a few days later I caught Van eating candy off the house, he was hiding his mouth because he knew he wasn't supposed to be doing that.
"I don't like this" he said, pointing at the house.
"You don't our gingerbread house? Why not?"
"Because I just want to eat it!"
