Our first stop was Redondo Beach, because it was close to the airport. So we spent a night and day here exploring.
Jon had sunglasses which was adorable.
There was a great breakfast place on this pier, a short walk from our hotel.
The kids liked it because they could talk to the fishermen.
This man let them help him by rolling up bread into small balls and dropping it into the ocean to attract fish.
Early on there were many disagreements about who got to push baby Jon in the stroller.
Heading to the beach
So pretty, but the water was quite cold.
So these beach toys were in this mesh bag, on a curb, next a broken basket, the trash and the recycling. I decided they were being thrown out and grabbed them for our beach trip. I was pretty pleased with myself. It seemed like a pretty dad move. (assuming of course that I was right, and I didn't steal them).
We ended up putting them back in the bag and leaving them near the edge of the beach for someone else to use.
