Long Beach Day 3

This day was devoted to exploring "The Queen Mary", a cool historic ship, just a short walk from our hotel.

We took some pictures by these flowers for grandma.

The Queen Mary.

Getting these two to pose for a picture anymore...

Waiting for daddy to grab our tickets.

We quickly realized that the audio tour was not going ot cut it for Esther. So I took her out on a walk while Andy and Van explored the ship.  We went back to Gladstones and they made us a free postcard.

Walking across the bridge.

Then we switched. Andy took the kids to the pool and I went to explore the ship alone. I LOVED it! It was so interesting. Jon however was tired of being in the carrier all day and was a little mad when he woke up mid tour.

I didn't take any pictures in the boat because I thought better ones could probably be found online, but I loved exploring it, and imagining what it was like to travel on it back in the day. (1940s - 1960s the ship was active). Here is a link to the website, not sure if they have good pictures there or not.

Here are pictures from the walk home. All the hotels and restaurants along the coast were gearing up for fancy weddings and other parties. It looked fantastic.
