Jon sleeping

Some sleeping pictures of Jon I took to try and convince grandma to come visit us.

Jon at the Gym

Like I said on Facebook, Jon was not happy at the gym, until he realized, they have ceiling fans. Then I was able to  boulder for about 15 mins.

9/10/16

Alright I suppose it is time to update this and say I survived. I slept, I read, and I grieved and I feel better.

It's not Trumps ideas I hate, I love the idea of smaller government and some of his other ideas seem cool too. It's him, and nations ability to look past how horrible he is. I don't think most people like his horrible side, but they're willing to look past it to listen to him. It's harder for people he has personally insulted to do this (and as a woman, watching the way he treats women, I feel this way), but if Hillary Clinton can do it the day after that nasty election then so can I.

I think the protesting is stupid, or at least emotional and short sighted. I'm interested to see if things can be improved by new methods and, if I'm honest, happy that it won't be democrats fault if things go wrong. I'm still registered as non-partisan, I like a lot of republican ideas, but my heart and my idealism always follow the democratic party. I am happy there will be no more blaming Obama for everyone's problems, it will give my heart a rest. I know watching everyone tear apart Hillary for the next 4 years would have been difficult as well.

I'm glad I voted, here is a picture of Jon and I after we left the polls.

Here are some links I liked.

9/9/16

I can't sleep.

I am so sad.

I don't know what to tell Van when he wakes up in a couple hours.

I'm even more sad for Esther who takes in the world around her and turns it all into 'rules'. What 'rules' is she going to learn over the next 4 years? How can I explain to her that someone who treats people so terribly can be elected president? That a woman no matter how qualified or prepared can be overlooked and slandered. I wanted a world for her where anything was possible and now I don't know what kind of world it is.

I haven't cried this much in a long time.

Exercising with 3 kids

I love this picture. Andy, Esther and I all have our weights set out ready  for our workout.

Esther pre-workout

But then she got too warm and found some exercise clothes.
Andy and I usually have a set workout. She does a little more freestyle.

Then I went back to the rock gym with Van and Jon. I liked this picture of my diaper bag with climbing gear added on. I mostly have to carry Jon and watch Van, but if Jon is happy, I put him in the car seat and he watches me boulder for a bit.

Baby Jon Face

Jon and I were waiting in the truck for Andy

Sunday activities

We were so busy Sunday, starting with Van and Jon and I climbing at the rock gym.

He ended up climbing barefoot, because, of course he did.
His feet are probably made of steel.

Then Van went to a birthday party and Jon and I watched Esther ice skate on Rachael's lake. She did great for her first time this year! See below for a cute video. (Rachael, Claire and their families were there, not sure why I didn't get anyone else in the pictures)
