Lone Pine, Sierra Nevadas

We loved Lone Pine. Not only was gorgeous hiking 5 minutes away, the town was cute and we stayed in the 'John Wayne Suite' at the Best Western. It was the size of 3 normal hotel rooms. The food was great, we would definitely go back.

We hit the Sierra Nevada National park at the wrong time, what was supposed to be a day of hiking was mainly a day of driving and finding out that roads were closed. We did manage one short hike. We should go back when the roads are open. Next time.
