The greatest bike adventure

Van and I set out on a bike ride today. I didn't know exactly where we would go, but I knew I wanted to ride on some trails and that we would get ice cream or frozen yogurt.

Here's what we did, 16 miles, with stops for ice cream, bird watching, playgrounds, cheeseburgers, chocolate cake, Boscos and bathroom breaks.
We left at 11:30 and took the bus back to Carrs on Huffman at 5:00PM. We got groceries at Carrs and Andy picked us up.

Here is a map of our bike ride.

And here is the bus ride. We did the whole route.

And here are the pictures.
This is van riding through the trails by the Campbell creek science center.

We were able to stay on trails until Tudor, (mile 8) and then here at mile 9 we reach McDonalds.
Van had practiced our order on the bike in, so he orders by himself.

It was airconditioned and cold inside McDonalds, so we ate our cones outside.

Then we were on the road again.

This is Cuddy Family Midtown Park, right before mile 11.
 It has ducks and geese.

 And a playground.

Then we biked 1 more mile to Tommy's Burger shop. Mile 12 on the map.
Van picked us this awesome table.

Here we ate well deserved delicious burgers.

Then we were on the road again.

We didn't go far though, at mile 12.5 we stopped for cake...

From this window Van saw the bus and wanted to ride, I realized that would be a great way to get us close to home.

Then just down the street we stopped at Bostcos. We had promised to bring our neighbors Sam, John and Wyatt back something from our adventure.

At mile 13.5 we stopped at Inlet View Elementary school for a quick play. While Van played I watched  YouTube video on how to use the bus bike racks so I could do it when the time came.

Mile 14. Van took a bathroom break and I took a rest. Here I checked the bus schedule and found out we had about 40 mines until our bus arrived at the bus station nearby.

So we biked to my office.

Here is Van singing an original Van song.

And then we biked over to the museum.

Here is Van doing some adventure biking.

Then we went to the bus station to wait.

There's a bus! It wasn't ours though.

Finally we got on our bus with our bikes loaded on the front bike rack. (with help from  another nice bus rider/biker).

The bus was great, I wish we would have used it earlier. Especially since it goes right past our old house. As it was, this was pretty handy. Andy didn't have to come downtown to get us.

Anyway, fantastic day. So much fun with my little adventurer.
