18 weeks, I can feel the new baby kick now. Even Andy got to feel him/her on a couple occasions. Van has been busy telling people about the baby, being sure to reiterate that while I have a baby in my belly, he does not. (This was a point of confusion for him at first).
In a couple weeks we'll have the 20 week ultrasound and the gender reveal party in PA just a week after that. More exciting news to come.
Van
I can't believe how much fun Van is to hang out with (although very exhausting). We had one outing this weekend where I took him to watch a race and taught him how to cheer for runners. But besides that we spent most of the weekend cooking, cleaning, watching movies, coloring, playing pretend, etc.
And yet we had such a blast. Here are some pictures of Van eating his blueberries and celery. I wasn't paying attention then when I looked up he had the blueberries all lined up on the celery.
Taylor Swift wrote a song from the point of view of a mom who lost her son to brain cancer at 4 years old. I heard it on the radio and cried harder than I can remember crying in a long time. Sure being pregnant doesn't help, but the way she describes the loss of her son sounded so real and so much like how I could imagine feeling if that happened to me. It's very beautiful and powerful.
Love that little man so much.
