Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve was wonderful. Svea and Mom co-hosted. Mom made tortilla soup and fried bread and we got to eat next to her brand new kitchen. But do I have any pictures? Nope.

Then everyone was so cute on the couch, but if I pulled the camera out, this happened.

Oh well, grandma and I know how to pose.

The Smiths and grandpa getting the games started.

Svea's tree.

These 7 pictures are really a horrible representation of what it was like, it was beautiful and delicious and fun. I had planned to get pictures from Svea but I haven't yet. Oh well. Then Andy and I had to run home early with the kids to get everyone to bed and wrap all our presents!

Gingerbread and Ice Skating

The Posey's invited us all (The Smiths, the Lunoes, the Elliots) over for gingerbread houses and ice skating.

I bought some decorating supplies

We had the boys and girls work separately. I missed the girls, but here is Van hard at work.

Esther's house - minimalistic theme

Ethan's house

Finn's house

Van's house. There is a fire in front on the right and a licorice zipline on the left. Van won the prize ford heaviest plate, because he realized they would likely get to eat the candy once home.

Then we put on ice skates and headed out to the lake in front of Rachael's house.

Kids and dads skated while moms (and baby) chatted. It was a really fun afternoon.

Jon's Eyes

What color are Jon's eyes? I have no idea. We are hoping they turn out 'Steele gray'.

This and that

I have been putting Jon in some cute outfits. But he was throwing up a lot at this time. So we changed a lot.

Esther playing in the rice and beans box.

Walking Van home from school.

Handprints and footprints from the whole family.

Helium Balloons

We had leftover balloons from Van's birthday and we showed Van and Finn a trick.

Jon is 4 months old

Here are Jon's stats from his 4 month appointment

He got vaccinations so he was wiped out for the next couple days. I had to take him home and really snuggle him.

Here he is dressed and watching Esther build a fort.

At first it was a fort for him

But then I had to intervene and have her make a fort for herself. Safety reasons.

Climbing the wall with Van

Van is a rock climbing pro now, but I had only been bouldering with him. This was his first trip up the wall. He was so fast I had a hard time getting a picture since I had to belay so quickly, but I got one.
