Gym defense

I had to go out and defend our Pokegym after we got kicked out. Esther, who insists on going with me everywhere however is not always excited once we get where we are going, did not bring warm enough clothes, so I had to improvise.

At grandmas

While I was hiking, Esther and Van went to play at grandmas with Elin and Solvej.

Here they are eating in the garage kitchen, a temporary setup while they remodel their kitchen.

 Grandma gave Esther a beautiful braid.

 And Van was just handsome.

Northface

Sydney and I drove to Girdwood to hike up the Northface trail to the top of Alyeska and take the tram down.

Jon did great sleeping on my back for the first hour or so of the hike. But about 1/2 mile from the top, he woke up and was not happy about it.

 Even though the views were pretty.

 So I stopped and gave him a snack and that cheered him up.

 Then he insisted on being carried outside the carrier.

This is me sitting down at the top taking over the Pokegym at the Roundhouse.

 Jon was impressed.

 Then we took the tram down, a success!

Van Adventures

I took Van to the mall the day before picture day to get his hair cut. I should have taken a 'before' picture, she took off quite a bit of hair.

Looking good.

Then we made a day of it. We bought him a new shirt for picture day (surprise surprise, it had Pokemon on it).
Then we chased Pokemon.
Then when we were all tired out, we grabbed a bite to eat before heading home.
