Pokemon Go

Van and I have been playing Pokemon Go. The other day we went downtown to play before everyone else was awake. Here he is catching some Pokemon with me. Or climbing things while I catch them.

Baby Abdullah

Zamzam had her baby!

Abdullah Mansoor Saleh Alansy
July 17th at 5:05 PM
Weight 7lbs 6 oz
Length 20 in.

He is named after her little brother who was killed by lightning a few years ago. He was only 18. He was apparently a very sweet boy, so I'm glad she was able to carry on his name.

Josienne went down to help so she took these pictures, we haven't seen him yet because the kids have been sick since he was born.

Zamzam sent me this from home.

Presents from Linda

Aunty Linda sent the new baby a beautiful quilt, and some presents for the big kids :)

A doggy purse for Esther

Me with the baby quilt

And a dinosaur movie for Van

We love them Aunty Linda!!

Little Campbell Lake

While Andy and Van were biking at Kincaid, Esther and I borrowed mom and dad's inflatable kayak went out on Little Campbell Lake. The boys met us when they were done.

Flattop at 33 weeks

We did a fun family hike up flattop today. We only went to the saddle because we had to be sure to be back for Van to go to John's birthday party, but that turned out to be a perfect distance for Esther, who started to fall apart a bit towards the end, before being distracted by berries and flowers.

It was beautiful weather and we got some nice pictures.

Van and Andy went over blueberry hill and Esther and I went around it.

Here you can see their silhouettes in the distance.

 My cute hiking partner.

Stopping for a snack break.

These kids found some berries. Mainly crowberries.

Only Van liked the taste so Esther would give hers to him.

Esther is throwing the berries into the woods, she said the moose would eat them there.
