Van at Golf

Last year Van told me golf was his favorite sport. He had played mini golf once, and cried for about an hour when the ball was lost on the last hole.
Anyway, this year I saw golf lessons for 6-9 year olds and at the course near our house and signed him up.

Andy said the first day was rough, it is an hour lesson and his attention span is about 45 seconds. So I wasn't sure if we'd let him finish out the week. But this picture is from the next day which was apparently better.

It's so cute. I want to golf with him.

Dog Park

Esther and I took Watson to the dog park on our last day of dog sitting. Andy and Van were at Kincaid riding the single track trails.
We used to go to this dog park a lot because it is across the street from the house Andy lived in when we were dating, but since Alamo has gotten older and meaner and less friendly with other dogs, we haven't been in a while.


I couldn't narrow down the pictures. They were all so good.

Esther is shooting moose with her shooting stick.

 "It's so beautiful!" she says.

She sang a lot and made pretend meals out of leaves and grass. She liked to pretend that she was the mama and I was the sister.

Then we found the water.

And the mud.

At the mall

Esther and I went to the mall to find some lingerie for my friend who is getting married. Esther got herself dressed and insisted on bringing her purse. I bought her a smoothie and then I looked over and realized I was hanging out with a little teenager.

Alise's birthday

Alise turned 7! Van went to the celebration hike and they texted me some cute pictures.

Poker Night at the Deadwood Saloon

We had a murder mystery party last week. Kind of to celebrate mom's birthday, but since we are 3 months late I don't know if it still counts for that. Either way, we had fun.

It was a Wild West party with outlaws, poker players, cowboys and saloon girls. Everyone had great costumes.
