It is one of those times that is so special and you definitely want to remember it, but it would be ruined in you really spent much time documenting it. Also I fell asleep before Santa came, so I didn't get to see the final set up. Anyway the pictures aren't as comprehensive as I would like but here are the ones we have.
Esther showing off her princess dress
These are blurry, but I love the silhouettes.
Van and Esther dancing.
Van testing out his new bike.
Grandpa showing Esther how to put on her makeup
Van's Battleship game.
Esther's new earings
The new princess castle.

Van's 6th Birthday
On Friday, Van turned 6!
The first thing he did Friday morning was open his presents. One of which was a model of the Millennium Falcon, so he had to call Finn to come over right away.
Then we had a party at Bouncing Bears
A little bit of food
a mom
a birthday boy
some presents
They bounced for an hour in the beginning but we didn't get any pictures of the bouncing action. Mom figured it would have just been a blur anyway. They were all running around so fast.
Esther back home, playing with some of Van's new toys.
I took him to a ski lesson. There he is with his instructor.
After his lesson, he skied a few runs with me.
One of Van's favorite classmates, Mila, missed his birthday. They thought it was Saturday instead of Friday so by the time they realized their mistake it was too late. To offset the disappointment we met Mila at Get Air (the new trampoline park Van had been dying to try) on Sunday so that they could play. She's the one with the red ball.
Overall it was a great birthday. I didn't do as many homemade touches as I would prefer (comparing to the standard of my birthdays growing up). But Van had fun and I was happy to celebrate him. We all had a great birthday weekend.

At the end they sat down for cake.
