Excerpt from a conversation

Van: "Why would the train smash the car?"

Me: "'Because trains are very strong"

Van: "Why are trains strong like daddy?"

Van's favorite color has been orange since he could talk. But now he says he has changed his favorite color to purple. He doesn't always positively identify purple. So we'll see if this sticks.

Van has been begging me to play 'Duck, Duck, Goose'. Or as he calls it, 'Duck, Duck, Goose, Goose, Goose'
I keep telling him we need a group of people. He insists we could just try it without a group of people.

6:45AM, Saturday morning. Van bursts in.

Van: "Mom, can I have chicken nuggets?"
Me: "um, ok"
Van: "Good." Van reaches behind the door and picks up the bag of frozen chicken nuggets, "I opened the bag. I ate 3."

Happy early father's day!

Van kept Andy's father's day present a secret for 48 hours. He didn't quite make it to Father's day, but it was pretty good for a 3 year old. 

I'm glad, I was dying for them to try out the new bike system anyway.

Tired

Now this is one tired baby

We put her under the mobile to get dinner ready and she drifted off without a peep.

Van: "Mom, grandpa said these are … lion kills. They kill lions."
Me: "Do you mean he said they were dandelions?"
Van: "Yes. They are very bad."

Biking

The kids in our neighborhood often bike in our culdesac. Van loves to join them.

"Hey look, the little guy is back." I heard them say last time I let Van outside to play.
