Arctic Valley Tube Park

Last Saturday we went to Arctic Valley for tubing. This is also where Andy and I got married so I made us take some commemorative pictures.

They said Jon could tube if he sat in his own sled. We tried it, Jon and I went down together, I held onto his tube. He didn't hate it, he didn't love it. Ultimately it didn't seem worth the trouble. So Jon and I went inside for a snack.

Then Andy held Jon while I went with the kids for a while.

Van and Story

One of Van's favorite friends is Story, a girl in his class.

Somehow this relationship always leads to funny texts.

Sun-day at the dunes

We met Svea and Rachael at the Sand dunes at Kincaid. It was so beautiful out.

I made each of the snowboarders a video and gave it to them. They were happy.

Pretty and cold. After this we went directly to Smashburger to get fueled up. :)

Spring Skiing

This ski today made me so happy.

So happy!

It was beautiful outside.

And I just couldn't get over how lucky I am.

I was out in the beautiful woods, getting some great exercise, (after eating way too much of the delicious and beautiful cakes mom made), and I had been home playing all day with my beautiful kids (Jon slept all night, I took Van to breakfast before dropping him off at school, Esther and I met Van for lunch at his school) and all of this adventuring was facilitated by my wonderful husband who helps me so much with the kids, food, and house, and all of this while getting a day off from a job I love.

33 is the best.

Oh and also I wore this ridiculous Danish hat designed for a 6 month old baby. But it kept my ears warm and was the only thing I could find in my car appropriate for the temperature (it's colder than it looks out).

I skied a 12K (7.6 mile) loop. I want to do it again tomorrow!

Sleeping beauty

It's 10PM and Esther is still awake. Van fell asleep within minutes of me finishing stories (8:50ish?). But Esther is busy and just brought me a sweater I left in her room. 

All because this was her from about 3-5 this afternoon...
