Herb Garden

We're growing our indoor herb garden again because it was so much fun to use. Here is a 1 week comparison. 

In the back

Mint, Thai Basil, Genovese Basil, Dill

Front

Curly Parsley, Thyme, Chives

Since the Thyme hasn't sprouted by now it probably won't. But the rest look great! And growing so fast.

Skiing

We finally have good snow this year. Here are some skiing adventures. 

First Andy and I taking Baby Jon.

Then another day Svea and Grandma and Grandpa took the big kids around the Spencer loop.

Esther taking notes

Esther was interviewing all of us.
'What do you like?'
and taking notes on the answers. I found her notes sheet.

She also uses the word 'acutally' a lot. I ask her about something a typical response is, "Actually it's not."

I need to take the time to write down all of the good Esther quotes so here's another one.

Van was being mean and teasing her.
Van: "you don't even know what 1+1 is"
Esther: "It's 2"

She also knows all of her letters and even some sight words, so she will jump into reading easily.

Nancy Lake Camping

During my first week back to work, Svea took Van with her on a camping trip to Nancy Lake. Looks like they had a blast.
