No bottles

As of last week, we are bottle free. It is about time really. We have been worrying about Esther's teeth for a while and she was just getting more and more attached to her bottle. For comfort, falling asleep and hydration.
But Andy came up with a plan, implemented it, and so far so good. She complained a little the first couple of days, but it wasn't nearly what I had expected. And lately we haven't heard a thing.

First they wrote a note. It says,
"Dear Baby,
Here are Esther's bottles. Please see enclosed two bottles and a pretty picture. Esther is a big girl now and does not need her bottles anymore. We hope you enjoy them as much as Esther did.
With much love,
Esther and Daddy"

He said he read through it with her several times.

Then they wrapped up the bottles.

And dropped them off in the mailbox.

Every once in a while she mentions her bottle, but we just tell her about how she gave it to another baby. Sometime she says, 'No.'
But she seems relatively satisfied with the answer. No tears or tantrums.
