Soccer

I took a few action shots during the game tonight.

Soccer - picture day

Van had a soccer game on Monday and it was picture day. Note Svea was recruited at the last minute to be the coach, she does an awesome job.

Esther wore her soccer shoes and was really excited to play. She is not signed up for a team but luckily there are extra balls at the fields available so she got her own to practice with. Van passed it with her before his team arrived. (By 'passed' I mean he liked to kick it really hard and have her chase it. But they were both happy, so I'm not complaining)

Van was also excited. Some comments before the game:

"Man that other team is going to cry when they lose." (We don't actually keep score)
"Mom, who do you think has the best kick? because I think it's me."
"Mom, what's your favorite sport? Mine is soccer. I love soccer."

I only have pictures of warmup, pictures, and post game. The game was so exciting I forgot to stop and take pictures! Plus parents have to help field the ball on the sidelines and it goes out of bounds a lot.

Megan and Mason hike Peak 3

Megan and Mason left on Monday night. We tried to fill their last days with everything Alaskan. In the morning dad took them on a flight seeing tour and in the afternoon I recruited Svea to take them on a better hike than I could being so pregnant (and also at work). She took them up peak 3 behind flattop. They said it was good to get out and move before the long plane ride home.

Scottish Highland Games

We went to watch the Scottish Highland games with the kids, followed by a trip to the pump track.
